River's End Estate Launched - Rodney Hayter

Launched last weekend with focus on affordability is the first phase of the planned medium-density 459-unit Rivers End Residential Estate on a 9,68ha site at 70 Connor Road, just 1,3km from the Liberty Mall.

Units, according to Ian Wadeson of development company, Top Drawer Property Group Developers, have been designed in four-storey blocks with 16 apartments in each block. Buyers have a choice of six apartment options of two and three unit configurations and ranging in size between 60 to 100 sqm. Prices in the 10-unit first phase range between R560 000 to R920 000. These will be ready for handover to their new owners in approximately 12 months time. Communal facilities include clubhouse, crèche, swimming-pools, nature trails, picnic sites and laundry facilities. Wadeson says the development should help towards alleviating the city’s current shortage of homes in this price range.
